Matters arising

Open items from AOB last time:
Unfinished CHAHP projects
DW reported that she had spoken with John James on this subject and about how we might find funding to complete some works. There is a willingness in Cornwall Council to enable these things to be done. Highways work can only be done through the Higways department. The list includes Rillaton Wall and signs at Redgate. It may be possible to re-bid to HLF for the funds concerned.
Heritage Centre at Minions
LS raised during the above discussion that this is still closed for repair. The building is owned by Cornwall Council and we think that the responsible person is Julian German. DW will raise the subject at the World Heritage meeting next week.
Action: PNJ to write to Councilor Julian German to request that work be completed.
Liskeard Castle report
This has been "promised" and is said to be nearly complete.
Caradon Trail signs
DW reported that "Alan" has ordered more signs for the trail. They may not be placed on BT poles (despite evidence to the contrary in the form of highways signs so placed). This is being negotiated.

Finance update

DW reported that we have received another £10 from Alec Kendall giving £598.50 in the current account with £28.50 of that available to spend on non-project expenses.

Donations for the current meeting leave us with an additional £2.50 available for funds.

Web update

Alan Groves has completed the renaming of all the Youtube files.

The team have worked on understanding the events module. Event information should continue to be sent to IR and that will be fed into the site events module.

IR suggested that there should be a disclaimer on the site indicating that the individual organisations and not the CHP have responsibility for the events being publicised.

A new logo is being produced by Keith Mountifield. It will be available in vector format.

The web team intends to conduct a design review for the site to address the various usability issues that exist. People can send mail to feedback at caradonhill dot org dot uk with comments and this will be advertised in mail to the member organisations in due course.

The outcome of the review will be a programme of work to be carried out in a way that does not have adverse impact on users as the site evolves.

A question was raised about data protection. The web site infrastructure does not hold data that should be registered under the data protection act. The web team are conscious of copyright and other issues around published images.

Property audit

IR has received lists from several organisations and also has CHAHP records.

Charter Fair

DW circulated a timetable and expenses list and there was a lengthy discussion about the details.

It is proving difficult to get Cornish Dancers because of a schedule conflict with Bodmin Heritage day. Street Theatre is being investigated as a possible activity.

The Methodist Church Hall has been booked as a contingency for inclement weather.

The CHP can invoice Phoenix 100 £250 for administration, co-ordination and stewarding.
Action: PNJ to raise the invoice using a template that DW will supply.

IR will try and arrange for a mining talk from an expert to take place at the museum and be recorded.

MT suggested that we invite the Azook recording caravan to participate for the CORNISHMEMORY.COM web site.

The meeting approved the plans as articulated so far. All arrangements are to be authorised by the CHP with urgent decisions delegated to DW.

Publicity should be co-ordinated with BM. The final programme will be issued on 2014-05-25.

Funds from donations made on the day will be assigned to the CHP.

Groups and events updates

Any other business

It was agreed that the Granite posts should have the CHAHP logos. Also that we permit material from the leaflets to be used on the signage. IR will check the content prior to implementation.

There is an exhibition at Sterts and a play about Herodsfoot on 2014-07-03.

Dates of next meetings

2014-06-19-19:30 BST, at a location to be found by DW. This is a specific Charter Fair planning meeting to be chaired by DW.

2014-07-24, to be chaired by IR.

The meeting closed at 21:14 BST.
