The meeting was chaired by Mike Todd, by agreement.
Prior to the meeting was a thought provoking and well-received presentation by Sam Barnes about the Helping Hands for Heritage project for the Tamar Valley AONB. This addresses issues of retaining and developing volunteers to sustain heritage activities, which is also an important theme for members of the CHP.
Our thanks to Sam for taking the time to do this for us.

Review of Minutes
The Minutes from last year's inaugural meeting on 2013-11-06 were reviewed and accepted without amendment. MT summarised them verbally for the benefit of the meeting.Finance update
Our balance remains the same at £1123.50. This comprises monies from Alec Kendall which are earmarked for project use only and general funds obtained from walks, the Charter Fair and miscellaneous sources.DW commented that some of this money is still available to help organisations to raise their profile by underwriting the expenses of events that might be at risk of making a loss.
IR said that we would like to use some of the project money to restore the lettering on John Holman's memorial at St Cleer General Cemetery. The memorial was recently uncovered during a clearance exercise and shortly afterwards much of the lead lettering had been removed by persons unknown.
Property audit
IR reported that this is still in progress and awaiting some information from the Mines group. It is important for us to maintain this data as it is one of the indicators that may be observed by the HLF as they monitor our progress.DW read out part of a mail message from Richard Clark about the Caradon Hill web site and mentioning the Heart of Teesdale web site which they are evaluating.
There have been
FOI requests for the CHAHP
evaluation report, which will be placed on the Caradon Hill web site
for future reference.
Action: PNJ.
Event planning
IR said that details of forthcoming events can be mailed to him for distribution via his mailing list and on the web site. This information will also be forwarded to the maintainers of the Visit Liskeard site. There was discussion about running another Charter Fair event in 2015. There is some money left under Phoenix 100 to start this off. It was felt that attendance this year was disappointing due to a habitual absence of people in Liskeard on Saturday afternoons. Perhaps a focus on one of the weekday evenings would work better. The Liskeard Lions would be keen to support us if we do it again.
The Carnival will be during the first week in July. It is possible that the Puffing Devil will be in the area on 2015-06-27.
This subject will be placed on the agenda for the next CHP meeting.
Web update
Keith Mountifield is working on an upgrade to Joomla and a review of the site design. The web team will meet again when this is complete. Noted that when the current funding runs out, the CHP will have to decide how to fund and manage the site in the longer term.Date of next meeting
Either 2015-01-15 or 2015-01-22 at Liskeard. The chair will be AH.Any other business
No items for AOB were submitted in advance. However the following items were raised from the floor:- BO: Walkers are Welcome accreditation encourages visitors. Possible Bodmin Moor walking festival in 2016.
- AH: Thanks to the CHP for underwriting the cost of the Horses talk at Pensilva, which was successful so that some of the underwriting money was paid back to the CHP.
