Previous minutes

Accepted as accurate (RB, IR).

Finance updates

DW was not present so we don't know the exact state of the bank account. BO reported no further book sales yet.

Equipment update

IR reported that he's received a reply from the Trevithick Society confirming the location of the equipment they hold.

Web update

We intend no further action regarding the CARADONHILL.ORG.UK web site until we need to make major changes to it.

MT asked about the status of the CORNISHGRAVES.ORG.UK web site.

The domain itself is registered to DW via HEARTINTERNET, expiring in June 2018.

The site itself is managed by someone called Martin Russell of Webcube media and hosted as part of their assets. The site is based on a Wordpress platform. There do not appear to be any immediate risks with this site, which is in active use.

Caradon Heritage update

IR noted that Cornwall Heritage Trust has been active of late and now owns the field in which Trethevy Quoit is sited. They may be willing to be involved in supporting the potential assets of CH.

Phoenix Festival 2017

This runs from 2017-06-26 thru 2017-07-01.

The following commitments emerged from discussion. Dates are not completely fixed and to be confirmed after taking into account availability and scheduling of other events with which we do not wish to conflict.

All evening outdoor events to start at 19:00 and talks to start at 19:30.

IR will begin work on the posters now.

Items previously discussed that we probably won't do this time are noted below. Some of them might be more suited to the "Unlocking Liskeard" Heritage Open Days event being considered for September 2017.

Bat walk
Twilight is too late at this time of year.
Geological walk
CB is not available for this (Scheduling conflict with the CAGG summer field trip).
Museum at night
Requires too many volunteers. A walk around Liskeard is easier for them to organise.

Unlocking Liskeard

This is part of the Heritage Open Days events taking place in September.

Items mentioned in this context included:

IR will be attending a meeting about this on 2017-04-02.

Next meeting

Date to be specified by DW to be chaired by IR.

AOB

Meeting closed at 20:42 UTC.
